Salesforce Positioned in Gartner’s Leaders Quadrant in the 2016 Magic Quadrant
For 10th consecutive year Salesforce has been positioned as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation (SFA).
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – August 2016:
Gartner again positioned Salesforce Sales Cloud as a leader in its August 2016 Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation. Salesforce, the Customer Success Platform and world’s #1 CRM company has thus successfully defended its leadership position for the 10th consecutive year.
The report stresses the improvements in mobile sales productivity and Lightning, combined with promised capabilities on the Sales Cloud roadmap, Salesforce continues to maintain a strong product vision for sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Gartner defines Sales Force Automation (SFA) as applications that automate the sales activities, processes, and administrative responsibilities for an organization’s sales professionals. Core capabilities include account, contact and opportunity management, pipeline management, and sales forecasting. Additional (noncore) capabilities that are often a part of SFA offerings include lead management, content management, guided selling, quote management, territory management, partner relationship management (PRM) and analytics.
Vendors included in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant have to fulfil a number of criteria such as the ability to execute in multiple industries, make multiple software releases with significant functional improvement each year, boast at least five new customers over the past twelve months and have strategic partnerships.
Vendors positioned as leaders by Gartner have the ability to execute against their vision and demonstrate solid business results. They claim successful customer deployments in different regions across the globe in a wide variety of vertical industries. Typically, other vendors in the market measure themselves against leaders.
